Waldorf preschool options in DC

Does anyone know of Waldorf preschool options in DC? I am having trouble finding any when I search online. I live in Petworth so it would be great if close by, but I am also open to schools in other parts of the city. Would love to hear of any experiences people have had in those kinds of programs as well. Thanks so much!

There aren’t any Waldorf options in DC proper. Acorn Hill, Washington Waldorf, and Potomac Crescent are your closest options.

We are at Acorn Hill and love the program. The teachers are wonderful and we love the emphasis on outdoor time and free play. The campus is magical. I highly recommend taking a tour.

Washington Waldorf is a lovely school about 2 miles outside of DC in SW Bethesda. It's a bit too far outside of a traditional framework for our family, but we have done some programs there like forest classes and it really is a special place with very engaged teachers and staff.

I know this is an old post, but wanted to add on as a current Potomac Crescent Waldorf School parent (and one for many years) that our school is incredible, and even more amazing in our new location in Old Town! The first grade uses Huntley Meadows for forest days, the kindergarten has two forest days in the woods around Jones Point (the drop off is right near the bridge!). I can't say enough great things about this school and what it has meant for our kids.
