Ton of CM, but OPK is (-)

I have had a ton of CM these past couple of days, but OPK is still negative. The CM is yellowish/clear, smooth, and stringy. I thought this was prime material for ovulation, but the OPK (from the Dollar Store if that makes a difference) says negative still.

I haven't had a period in a long time - I'm 14 months post partem and stopped breast feeding 3 months ago mostly in hopes to get my period so we can conceive again. But no period and no signs of ovulation yet.

Any thoughts as to what is going on?

I don't have anything super informative to share, but I hope you're still trying this week, just in case!

Also, I have a few friends who got pregnant before their periods actually came back. But if you're at all worried, maybe talk to your GYN or even an RE if you're older than 35 and eager to figure out what's going on in there.
