Best option for glass repair

Hello,

Our car’s windshield was cracked recently from road debris. Safelite is quoting us $900 and our insurance deductible is $1,000 so it will be out of pocket. Is this a good option? We have not had to do this before so I appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Ugh. Wish every state had a zero deductible rule for windshield glass like MA and FL

you can find cheaper options if you use google. may not be the "best" option but definitely can find cheaper options. it's just a regular windshield right?

OP a here. The car has lane assist, etc so I think the windshield has sensors and needs to be calibrated.

okay, that's what i was wondering. in that case, dealer is your best bet even though safelite claims they can do the work. i gave a bad advice above then. don't use google to find cheaper contractor. how much is at dealer?
