| Then by lunch I am starving. Anyone else have this? Ideas on what to eat for a nervous belly at breakf? |
| You don’t need to eat if you aren’t hungry. Can you eat at 10 or something? But the more important thing is why are you nervous? It takes real anxiety to give me nervous belly - I can’t imagine it is healthy to have that level of anxiety every morning. |
A friend is dying |

I can't eat in the mornings- it makes me nauseous. Not sure it's due to a nervous stomach. I'm actually not sure what it is...maybe just my body taking longer to wake up?
I usually get up around 7. I'll have a coffee (nothing fancy) around 9. And will usually eat my first light meal around 10:45. I work at home, so it's not a big deal at all. I love breakfast food, so it's kind of annoying that I can't really go out for breakfast in the morning. But enough places have brunch or all day breakfast.... |
Sorry to hear this OP. Maybe 5 min of deep breathing in the morning would settle you enough to make eating possible |
| I don’t eat anything for breakfast, but it’s not because of a nervous stomach. Try a protein shake or a smoothie if you think that will help. They sell frozen premade smoothies at the grocery store or those juice ones in the produce section. Protein shakes also come premade, but you can mix one up yourself in less than a minute. I doubt either of those options will make your stomach feel worse. Especially if you have some water with it. |
| I try to drink a protein smoothie, too. I'm not hungry in the AM, but I do feel better if I have some food, and I take medication that really needs to be on a full stomach. So I try to gulp a smoothie down before i really notice I am eating anything. |
I’m mostly like the quoted poster, except I don’t get nauseous, I go the other direction if I eat any sooner than a couple hours after I get up. Just adjust to eat later, OP. |
You are very fortunate |

Especially more when I you are calm.
Work on the anxiety. You'll be better for your friend when you are calm and on control of your situation. |
*Eat more when you are calm. |
