I am about 8.5 weeks pregnant, and so tired I can barely keep my eyes open. Normally if I feel like this I would pop some caffeine (soda or coffee). I have greatly limited my caffeine, so I don't really know what to do. Any suggestions? |
I'm about 9 weeks, exhausted. Though with this kiddo at least I'm not as nauseas! Anyway, I just try and drink lots of water/juice and exercise (which is just walking for me at the moment), to try and get my energy up. Plus I go to bed around 8:30, which leaves little time for DH, but luckily he understands this too shall pass. Congratulations and good luck! |
I would take naps in my car while I was at work. It was either that, or go home, because I couldn't keep my eyes open. One day, I slept for 3 hours! If I didn't nap, I'd start to feel sick. The fatigue ended right about the 13th week. |
Get your iron count checked and continue to take your pre natals. |
Perfectly normal in my limited experience. I'm now 31 weeks and was visiting a friend who is 9 weeks and she couldn't stay awake for my visit. She apologized, but of course, I completely understand. Get your naps where you can. |
As hard as it is to imagine, the best thing you can do is get moving. I find that I really start to drag when I become sedentary. As long as I keep moving, it's more tolerable. After dinner, I force myself to take a walk. It's painful at first, but I always feel better. And my dog and toddler are happier too. |
There was another post about this recently. Same here, also really tired. This seems completely normal (don't think it has anything to do with iron or thyroid issues in this case, just 1. trimester symptoms...).
Going for a walk after work or during lunch break really helps. I'm also off of caffeine |
