Desktop or laptop? Use case(s)? Budget? Do you need a prebuilt machine with a warranty, or is building your own an option?
Do you already have monitors, printer, keyboard/mouse, etc., or are these part of the budget? |

| First decision is Mac or Windows (based on the question it is clear that Linux is out). If DC wants a Mac, there are not many choices. For windows, set a price point and randomly choose a major manufacturer. They are all the same. |
