Trying to figure out a gift card.
Thx! |
| I have no idea, but your question sure was refreshing! From the subject line I thought you were thinking of reporting a teacher when you saw them at a restaurant during lunch! |
| Not really unless they have planning back to back; there’s not time in 40 minutes |
| Maybe a Door Dash gift card could work... |
| They would likely use it during the summer so maybe it doesn’t matter |
| ^^ I second Door Dash! |
| They can use it for dinner! |
| Very few deal teachers can afford to live around deal |
| Give them an Uber Eats or Door Dash gift card! |
I really hope this isn't the answer of an actual teacher. The planning periods are for planning. Not for going home early. Not for running errands. They are for planning lessons. |
Nope not how it works. It's our protected time. |
oh shut up... |
As long as the planning gets done, why would you care when? It doesn't affect you if the teacher takes a long lunch and works in the evening. |
So incredibly wrong. This is from the old contract, but I imagine it is the same for the current contract. 23.6 Planning Periods 23.6.1 Purpose 23.6.1.1 The Parties agree that planning periods shall be used for instructional purposes: planning lessons, reviewing student work, maintaining student records, holding conferences, and other similar activities. If you don't understand why this matters, the planning periods have become a sticking point in school scheduling discussions. |
