Will Brown win the Council Chair race against Orange?

We've been doing our DCUM ("dee-come" to me) straw poll for Mayor, so how about the other big race? From my informal lawn sign count, it looks like Kwame over Vince; where do you stand? BTW, I'm with Kwame, although I think he needs to develop a bit more gravitas.

I can't say I've been bowled over by Kwame. He seems to send out a lot of standard politician speak bs via email and so forth but to be honest I have not delved closely into his stand on the issues. That said, however, I have never been deeply impressed with Vincent Orange either.

I need to look more closely at the issues and then make a decision. I lean toward Brown but I wish I could say I was more excited about this election.

I'm surprised at the apparent lack of interest in this race here on DCUM. Orange makes a point of his ability to work with Fenty. If Fenty and Orange win, I'm afraid we will not only have Fenty's flaws, but even less check-and-balance from the Council. Am I the only one who sees it this way?

I just assumed that no one was uninformed enough to vote for Orange. C'mon. Seriously?

I live in Ward 5 and Orange used to be our CM. No way would I vote for him.
