Vote Fiske for Dranesville Supervisor

Anonymous
Vote Fiske for Dranesville Supervisor in the June 20 primary. https://www.fiske2023.com/. He has been an extremely active community volunteer including on the MCA board and has been out and about meeting with people. I have tried to find out any reason to vote for Bierman but he seems to have no experience or service other than some sort of police commission and a lot of work for the local Democratic Party.

If you are interested in someone who wants to meet with people to solve problems and has experience doing that, vote Fiske. If you want someone who is entrenched in party politics and talking points, Bierman might be your person.

Bierman is 37 going on 60. So slick and has his political shtick down pat. Fiske is not as polished but is exactly the type of person you’d want running for local public office.

The local Democratic power brokers are all behind Bierman, which tells me they want a rubber stamp who won’t actually represent the interests of Dranesville residents.

I love Bierman. He's great. Glad he won.

I’d like to know that as well.

Bierman has finely tuned political instincts, befitting of a rich lawyer’s son who attended Sidwell Friends. And he’s made friends with other local Democrats and some people with serious money.

But I can’t quite figure out what his priorities are, other than positioning himself to run for higher office some day, or what he’d actually do for Dranesville residents.

I didn’t think Fiske had much of a shot against Bierman w/Bierman’s connections and money. He should have run for School Board instead.

He has experience working in government (federal government), as well as the party, and in local government as Chair of the Police Review Board. It really is rare we have first-time candidates who have all three of those qualifications. Lots of times there are candidates who have worked for the federal government but never been engaged at the local level, that isn’t the case with Bierman.

Foust’s office was good in terms of constituent service dealing with the county but Foust was weak on policy matters. Bierman could be an improvement.
