Estrogen cream v OTC moisturizers

Anyone have thoughts on the differences between the two. Preference? I’m assuming estrogen cream is preferred but maybe I have this wrong.

Hyaluronic acid works very well, too. Good Clean Love has one, it’s a gel with an applicator. Revaree has one, and it’s a suppository. Bezwecken also makes som, but I’m not as familiar. You can google studies, but for dryness, pain during sex, it helps. Basically, for moisturizing, it works.

Things it likely won’t help with because of lowered hormones in peri-menopause or menopause: increasing inability to orgasm, or orgasms without the good feelings. Significant atrophy of the vagina and/or vulva (including clitoris). Estrogen cream/suppositories, dhea topical and suppositories (like Julva, BHRT naturals, Intrarosa, and bezwecken also make these), and testosterone should be explored. Most providers will start with estrogen cream.
