Maid Service Multiple Times / Week

With our full time jobs, DH and I are struggling with the upkeep of our home and daily chores. We’re thinking about hiring a housekeeper who comes to our home multiple times a week to help with regular cleaning, laundry, and deep cleaning certain areas every week.

Curious how you schedule your housekeeping/maid service and what tasks do you ask them to handle?

We have a cleaning service Mondays and Thursdays. We think of it as prepping for the weekend and cleaning up after the weekend. They change out the sheets, do a load of sheets and towels, dust, mop, vacuum, empty all the trash (we do this throughout the week too), clean mirrors, and each time they're here they do a different deep cleaning task. Sometimes they choose and sometimes we leave a note asking them to deep clean something specific we've noticed.

I had a friend who did this in another area. Arrived at the home as the family left, cleaned up the kitchen, emptied the dishwasher, ran a load of laundry along with some dinner prep. She rarely had any child responsibilities - maybe a hour or two for a snow delay. Basically, what a mom would do. This was pre Covid so not sure if the job held up.
