care.com--how do I contact a nanny directly?

any other sites better to use, besides dcurbanmom? Having issues with care.com. I thought I was able to message specific people, but it looks like the request goes out to whowever care.com thinks it should go to. I've been spending time searching through caregivers who I think would be a good match and it seem like when I message, if that caregiver doesn't have "premium", it becomes a general post to all. Is that how it works or am I missing something?

Did you get a care.com subscription? You have to if you want to be able to contact people directly.

Care.com is not free. If you want to actually use it (they let you “browse” for free just to show you what’s out there), you have to pay. My company pays for a subscription, may be worth looking into if yours does too.

I paid, but didn't realize if I send a message, the recipient can't see it unless they have premium too. I would think a lot of requests don't get filled because of that.

Is that really true? I thought the nannies could respond back. The people looking for work also need to have premium? I thought that just boosted their place in the algorithm. That seems so weird
