I know you're trying to help him but if he is well advanced, he is also capable of researching what is out there and securing his own internships.

Lmfao you think your kid is well advanced but you’re searching an anonymous form for internships.

You’re so out of touch it’s just kinda sad.

Sorry, I didn’t know if a kid is smart, parents should not help just to give any information. So sad, parents are thinking this way. He is smart in studying but still a small kid.

A 14 yr old is simply not going to get an internship in an IT department or a tech company.

You can help a smart kid, by telling them to go to their guidance counselor or the public library and research how a high school student procures an internship. You don't do the work for him.

Hasn't this been posted before (like more than once?). Assuming not, if he has tech skills, take a look at volunteer opportunities. For example, local libraries and villages for retirees or aging in place will often have events where a 9th grader could help. They will teach older folks how to use their phone or skills like using Zoom, how not to fall for scams, etc. If those don't exist, you can advertise his help on a neighborhood listserv for the same types of things. Then keep an eye out for school announcements that would let him get more experience and exposure so that when he is old enough for an internship or programs for older kids come along he has something to put on a resume or application.

What exactly is he advanced in? What skills does he have?

A high school student is better off getting a service industry job. Waiting tables, cashier, etc. you can do the desk job later.

Absolutely insane to think a 9th grader should get an It. Internship. I sure hope you’re expecting unpaid at least,
