Did anyone else get rejected from extended day this week for failing to pay a registration fee for which they never received a bill? |
The fee and instructions were in the registration received email and were clearly listed on the registration page. |
It's not the most intuitive, but right after you register, you have to go to myschoolbucks and make a $40 payment (there is no invoice, though they tell you in the registration email that you need to make the payment). |
This is the text of the email I received within minutes of submitting my registration -

This. I agree they should include screen shots or send invoices. MySchoolBucks is confusing for first time users. |
If you have a new K student, you can’t even use MySchoolBucks. You have to go in person to syphax. Rising K can’t log in to MSB until July (or that’s what I understood to be true anyway)— when I called extended day they told me to bring a check in person |
Is this new? I never had to go in person to pay when my kid started K. But I was a few years ago. |
You can either mail the check or pay in person.
It's much safer to pay in person since, as the OP demonstrates, they will just straight reject you if they dont get the payment in time |
Yes. I got rejected and I've been paying for extended day since 2015. You'd think I'd understand this process by now but no. It's so f'ed up and the ux is the worst. APS is so good at wasting money HBS should do a case study on it. |
