Dental Implants -- surgeon advice, input

Anonymous
If anyone has a recommendation for their oral surgeon (preferably in Montgomery County) who's done implant work, I'd be appreciative. The cost will be completely out of pocket, and it's a big procedure, so I'll be grateful to find an excellent surgeon ...

We live in VA and use Christopher Bonacci in Vienna. Did both me and my husband - all he does is implants.

I saw David Ross for a tooth that needed to be pulled and he was AWFUL. I cannot dissuade you enough from seeing him. I know having teeth pulled is no fun, but it was barabric (he started before I was numb), he was mean when I told him I was not numb, I was put in a chair in his dingy office hall while he went to work on someone else literally moments after the extraction (when I still had wads of cotton in my mouth), and when I called later with symptoms of infection, he refused to fit me in or call in meds. I ended up going to Dr Kazemi (in Bethesda), who treated me obver the weekend having never seen me (based on my dentist and mine phone calls) and then saw me on monday and treated me. I would recommend him in a heartbeat, and I would avoid Ross at all costs.

OP here: Thanks, PP, it's very helpful to hear different perspectives and recommendations.

I used Michael Goldman in chevy chase for my implants 10 year ago. No complications and every dentist I have seen since then is impressed with how well they were done.

Thanks PP (OP here). Any new suggestions are still appreciated ... It's excellent you had a great experience, and several years ago at that.

OP,
Maybe you've had your work done.
I saw Dr. Rose, Chevy Chase, here's the website.

Dr. Rose teaches at Penn State and has pioneered implant procedures. He's pricey but my sense is he's the best in the DC area.
