For 10AM graduation at DAR how early did you arrive?

I know the kids had to be there at 9AM, but I can't say the idea of arriving at 7AM to get in line to get a seat appeals to me. Is this truly necessary in your experience?

For McLean, the afternoon graduation line was long an hour before.

I had reserved parking down the street. Parked by 9 and inside around 9:30 to get good seats. Left downtown Mclean at 8:20.
