Hi, I am planning to take a 7 hour train trip with my 6 month old and 3 year old. I am thinking I can handle it on my own but others are worried, like my mom, and willing to make the round trip to be supportive and entertain my 3 year old. I will have a baby carrier and a stroller, and help getting on and off (red cap). Any advice? I am sure mothers do this on their own all the time (and probalbly with 3 or 4 kids too). Anyone have a good or bad experience trying to do the same? Thanks |

Get a Red Top to help you - they will take your bags and get you loaded onto the train BEFORE general boarding. I have only ever used them at Penn Station before so I'm not 100% positive they have them in every station but man oh man is it worth. And they don't charge! You just tip.
If you have ever been a part of the cattle herd to board at Penn Station you are happy to tip them whatever you need to. |
