Pretty much what the title says.
LO had very sensitive skin and we’ve tried three products. Burt’s Bees: Terrible smell Aveeno Baby: Irritated Skin Mustela: Didn’t love smell, seemed to dry out skin but was better than Burt & Aveeno. Ideally scent free and alcohol free. Looking for gentle cleansers and lotions. And yes, we are under a Pediatrician care and we are not over bathing baby. |
my kid has eczema- the allergist recommended a daily bath with only giving soap at the very end- she emphasized fragrance free and no lather. we're supposed to immediately upon exiting the bath cover her in lotion (we use vanicream). I think the 3 recommendations for soap were baby aveeno, baby cetaphil and baby dove- we use the baby dove. make sure to get the unscented- i ordered travel size for a trip and amazon sent me scented accidentally and it irritated the skin |
Both my DCs used California baby and loved it.
California Baby. It’s also not tested on animals which I care about. My kid used it until she was like 5.
Dr bronners baby unscented organic sugar soap in the light blue pump. It’s amazing. Easy to rinse, cleans great, no scent and good ingredients. My baby has exczema and it doesn’t irritate. Must use cream after - we use cerave cream.
Cera be baby soap or dove baby soap
Bubbsi
+1 to Dr Bronner’s baby soap. Use a sponge to make a lather so it’s very diluted.
Aquaphor baby wash - I use it too as my skin is crazy sensitive
Noodle & Boo! Unscented version
Crazy enough the best thing for my daughter's eczema is Suave free & gentle, but it's hard to find: https://www.suave.com/us/en/products/free-and-gentle-body-wash.html
We use Babo Botanicals Sensitive Baby Shampoo & Wash (fragrance free, cruelty free).
Our twins have eczema and we use Vanicream soap for baths then immediately use Vanicream lotion then Aquaphor over it. It’s kept their sensitive skin soft and smooth for months now.

Soapply has been great for us. https://soapplybox.com/collections/shop-all/products/liquid-hand-wash
It is fragrance free and they use food-grade organic oils. It is marketed as a luxury hand wash but has worked perfectly. They also ship free and we just do the subscription to make life easier. You want to avoid parabens, phthalates and sulfates. Cetaphil Baby was recommended to us if you are already specifically dealing with eczema. |
Vanicream, Eucerin baby, or Cetaphil baby.
