Anybody else fed up with polluted cities and thinking of moving someplace clean? |
We’re all going down with the ship, OP. Maybe become a climate activist if you care. |
What do you mean by "polluted"? Be more specific. |
If you are reacting to the air quality in DC or NYC today, that's the Canadian wildfires. Not pollution. Not really much to do about it, and ts more than just the cities that are affected. |
Pollution in all cities is much better than it has been in decades. Please tell me this isn't coming from your experience with the Canadian fires. |
I just feel like it has been one thing after another between COVID and heat waves and crime waves and flooding and now wildfires. I wasn’t even affected by flooding and sure there is A/C and I wasn’t shot or robbed but reality is none of this stuff happens in some other areas of the US. |
Ok, Pollyana where is this magical place? |
What a moronic post. US cities are cleaner than they’ve been in decades |
Nah you’re just blind to how gross they are. Go live someplace rural or country for a while and when you come back all you see is the overcrowding, the garbage, the traffic, the fetid air, the hassles. |
Not the PP, but I routinely drive into rural Pennsylvania and Virginia for family for extended visits and back to DC. You are completely full of bs. DC’s pretty much number one competitive advantage over other cities (and indeed many small towns) is how clean it is. |
Then move to nowhere and enjoy no stop lights, pollution and lots of trumpers. |
Rural Pennsylvania air in particular has been effed from fracking & mining. |
This. |
Nah there are plenty of libral places outside of major cities. You’re just ignorant and sheltered. Another hazard of city living. I’m not a Trumper, but people like you are why he won. |
+2 The number of people who want to protect themselves and their kids from “pollution,” an umbrella under which people seem to shove global warming, chemicals infiltrating our air, ground and water, reduced soil health and the concordant reduction of vitamins in our food, litter and visual clutter; but don’t want to do anything politically is too damn big. If it’s a mess, get involved and help clean it up. We all live downstream; there is nowhere “clean” left. |
