How much are most people giving in a card to the kids of their friends who are graduating high school? I feel obligated to give something, but don't want to give too much or too little but don't really know what that is. $50? $100? $200?
TIA |

Kids don't give kids gifts at graduation. If you are close enough to the family you give a family gift of $50 or $100.
they can get them some Tchotchke, or nothing at all. |
| We give the year, so $2023 this year. |
| $25-$50 |
| Are you invited to a graduation party? Or did you get an announcement? If neither of those, I would not give anything. |
You gave the kid of a friend $2k as a graduation gift? That's just nuts. |
Graduation party, which I dislike going to anyway. It was all adults, no kids (and there wasn't another one). Not that that matters I guess. But I feel obligated to give something because it's a good friend. |
| We give a $50 bill. My kid is graduating this year so we’ve been to invited to $450 worth of parties lol. |
Ouch! |
Reading comprehension matters. Can’t believe this is the answer to OP’s post because it literally misunderstands the facts AND even then does not answer the question based on facts you assumed. How do you function in society? |
| I gave my bff’s kid $60 because it was easy to stuff 3 $20 bills in a card. I live far away so her kids don’t really know me, but she’s been my bff since 6th grade. |
It's DCUM. Seems like half of the responses to an OP are like this, where the person either can't comprehend a simple question or just didn't bother to answer it. |
| $100 for a good friend's child. $50 if it is an aquaintance |
| 100$ |
| We did $50 Amazon gift cards. |
