Thongs and summer clothing

Can we talk about thongs for a minute? I have nothing against them, wear them myself... but in the summer, I have noticed 2 disturbing trends:

#1 - when wearing white pants, women seem to think BLACK is the appropriate color thong to wear. WTF? To me it looks like a baby's diaper had a blowout at the top. Or that you have a really bad dark ass crack hair growth problem. Of the 10 women I've seen wearing white pants this week, 8 of them were wearing black thongs. What am I missing here?

#2 - Summertime dresses are usually made from thinner material, right? So when you wear a thong that has some sort of ruffle or detail on the top, it looks like you have a bizarre growth at the top of your ass crack or - if the offending thong embellishments are in the front - a horrendous hair situation. Why wouldn't you have thin-dress-appropriate thong options? I know some women think it's sexy to have it be obvious that they're wearing a thong, and that's fine - whatever. But not when it makes you look deformed and/or unkempt down there.

That's all I wanted to say.

I'm old fashioned, I'll admit and whole-heartedly agree with you. Lingerie should really only be noticed in the bedroom. Outside of the bedroom, it has a job to do and should be as invisible as possible. There's a difference between a sexpot and a sexy lady.

Underpinnings come in many shades of nude to match many shades of skin. Easiest to buy one that matches your skin tone and that will work for 90% of most wardrobes. Black bras under looser black knits are a good idea though.

Personally, I prefer boyshorts under skirts and dresses, and only wear thongs with pants or evening attire that is too body-conscious for boyshorts.

The REAL problem here is that women are wearing white pants! When did those come back?

Personally, I go commando whenever possible. I wear tampons almost every day of the month to keep myself fresh down there. And I don't think I have a dark ass crack hair....hmmmm - le'me check!

tampons every day? i have never heard of that, but i guess that would keep things fresh. i assume you change them frequently even when you're not on your period so that you don't get TSS? so interesting.

anyway, a friend came over this weekend with white pants and she gave us all a nice view of her white thong dragon tail.

Let me add #3...

I'm DON'T want to see your tong. So, please, be sure to wear a belt with low-rise pants or a long shirt that goes over the waist band. Everytime you bend over to talk to Junior, you're reminding me of the plumber.

AND #4...if you're fat (and you know who you are), please don't wear one at all. It makes it extra disgusting. It'll most likely show through (see #1 through #3 above).

I don't understand women who are in your face or stare. Is it a fashion statement? Are you trying to get my attention ("look at me")? Staring is my cue to ignore you - it's fun! You look idiotic, that is what you are proving to me by staring.

15:49 here - what I don't get about white pants is that they seem very difficult to wear - see through, get dirty easily...therefore, I do not get them, because if I tried to wear them, I would look idiotic in under a minute.

Plenty of people can pull them off. I just don't understand how. 17:46 probably looked very nice. If I tried the same outfit, I'd look like a fool.

I'd look like all ass. They just don't flatter me at all. I'm short and all my weight's in my chest and hips/butt. But I agree, if you can pull off a cute little Audrey Hepburn look with white pants, black top, little black shoes, more power to you.

I second this. I never understand why fat women thinks its ok to walk around in too tight low rise jeans with too high thongs - which are usually pink or red. Oh and lets not even talk about those who wear said thongs with too tight stretchy dresses or skirts. ewwwww!!

If you can see the thong - or the underwear - outline or sticking out - then ya'll need to go back to the trailer park and readjust.

I saw a girl (maybe 17?) out for dinner with her parents with sheer white pants and a thong and our group was just so embarrassed for her and her parents. It was obvious she won the battle before leaving the house, but we had no idea how or why. It was just so bad. It would have been questionable on the beach, so we had no idea how she left the house that way. It's almost as bad as having toilet paper sticking out the back of your pants. May as well.

I don't get that either and find it rather disturbing. She must need some sort of lubricant to shove it up there during her off time.
