Joe’s Stone Crab. Fried chicken.

Charga in N Arlington has gotten mildly famous since being written up last year as one of DC’s best kitchens, and the South Asian chicken dishes are indeed very good.

But their American “bar food” is also off the charts—like best I’ve found locally in some cases. Very good cheesesteak, fried chicken sandwich.

Flame away, but I like many things that are NOT cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory (their white chicken chili in particular) and I like much of the CPK menu that isn't pizza (salads, soups, potstickers). I actually never get the items they are "known for."

I like non-cheesecake food at the Cheesecake Factory, but I always get the cheesecake too.
