Wouldn’t that be better than waiting until there are major health issues for folks? |
I am overweight but not pre-diabetic and my insurance covers Ozempic, which my doctor prescribes for weight loss. |
I am pre-diabetic, and my insurance does cover my ozempic. |
OP here. I guess I just have crap insurance (Carefirst). |
Does United Health Care cover Ozempic? |
Please name the insurance plans that are covering Ozempic!!! |
Carefirst covers Ozempic for pre-diabetics; your employer just chose a plan that doesn't provide the coverage. |
My employer is my self. I guess the exchange plans don’t offer despite costing $1800 per month. |
Considering novo is socking it to consumers I can see why an 1800/mo plan won’t cover a 1200/no drug. |
It probably covers a different semiglutide like Trulicity or one of the others |
That’s my out-of-pocket premium. Do you pay that much? |
Because insurance is about profit not health. |
DP We pay $1,600 a month for employer family plan and have a $6k family $3k individual deductible that includes prescriptions. |
What kind of plan do you have???? I have BCBS and pay $450/month through the exchange for a platinum hmo and my plan covers Ozempic, Mounjaro (both $15/month) and even Wegovy (but it costs $100/month). I’m a nanny, not an investment banker. Age 48. Why does your insurance cost $1800 a month?? |
Nanny again- I’m really shocked by these premium prices, sis this for an entire family or just one person? I don’t have a deductible and don’t receive any help paying for my premium, but $450/month still feels really expensive. How are people paying $1600-1800 a month? |
