Arlington County Sheriff

Hi all,

I am confused over who to vote for for Sheriff in Arlington County and don’t understand the difference between the three candidates. Can someone enlighten me? I feel like an idiot because I didn’t realize there is a difference between the Sheriff’s office and the police department.

It ain’t that hard. As with the CA race, vote for the candidate who looks like a Sheriff plucked directly from Central Casting.

Jose or herring. Not Wanda. She’s trying to run some sort of smear campaign with lots of innuendos about Jose but no actual details. I find it gross. Jose is acting sheriff ( after prior sheriff stepped down following inmate deaths) and seems competent and hard working. Herring also seems okay but I think he’s angling for a political future instead of commitment to bettering the sheriff’s dept.

Herring. He’s been going to the neighborhood association meetings, listening, he’s down to Earth, and invested into Arlington.
