Double chin/neck

Anonymous
Not sure if this should go here or beauty. I’m not heavy and haven’t gained weight but my genetic chin/neck is starting. Ugh. I’m 44 and it seemed to appear worse in just the last few months.

My question is- do any of those face yoga/workout apps work?? Anything I can do to slow this down?

I don't know, OP, but I'm also 44 and in the same boat, and mine is definitely genetic...every woman on my mom's side of the family has/had this starting in their 40s, no matter how thin they were.
I'm so self conscious about it and hate how I look in photos with my kids now. I'd also love to know how to at least lessen the effect.

I’m 42M and I have the same genetic weird chin thing going on from the side. Super fit and low body fat. Only see it in side pictures. Looks odd. Not a big deal to me, but I could see how it could be for others. Def get it from my mom.

You might be happy with just a little lipo there. It can be in office with local anesthesia and it doesn’t cost that much but has a big return.

How much does something like this cost?

You guys got weak neck muscles. It gets worse with age.

For me it's neck lines rather than double neck. I hate it. Can laser therapy help with that?

Apparently Kim K botoxes her neck, I assume for this reason.

The under chin liposuction starts at minimum $5K. Don't use the kybella injections that claim to dissolve fat--they don't really work well with double chins/sagging. The only real way to eliminate is the old lower face lift, which I am currently resisting. No exercises/yoga will fix this, since it is a combination of age and genetics. Ask me how i know!

Botox for neck lines works.

Kybella is a waste of money and very painful. And not much cheaper than lipo.

I think PP estimate of $5,000 is on the high end.

But if what you really need is a neck lift, lipo won’t give you the look you want. Have a consult with a good surgeon.

OP I have them too! Now I know why retinol isn’t just for the face! but I would rather not have the sagging neck and chin. It’s my face too. My cheeks sagging. I already do gua sha and facial cupping but not sure if it works.

I am in the process of getting Morpheus8 treatments for my neck and jowls and have been very happy so far (done 2 treatments). It's not a miracle but the difference is noticeable to me, and if I can put off surgery a few more years that's my goal. The bulge under my chin has diminished, my jowls are definitely leas paunchy, and my neck lines are fainter. I bought a package and paid $3200 for three treatments.

OP not to scare you but it can also be a symptom of a compromised immune system.
