I’m heartened that the US is finally more supportive of a ceasefire. This is just really horrible. These are real people every bit as loved and valued as the Israelis killed and injured on 10/7 at just 2800% the magnitude:
The number of people killed in Israel’s war on Gaza has increased to 32,414, according to the enclave’s Health Ministry. Israeli attacks in Gaza have also wounded at least 74,787 people since October 7. The latest figures include 81 people killed and 93 wounded over the latest 24-hour reporting period. |

So if you were living under a complete air, land, and sea blockade, wouldn’t it actually be smart to invest in tunnels? |

Uh no. It would be smart to do everything you can to try and get the blockades lifted. But that said it couldn't have been that much of a blockade given they built hospitals, universities, liberaries as you stated above. Make up your mind. |

So Canada decided to stop supporting Israel's genocide by ending arms shipments, and sure enough, like clockwork, out comes the antisemitism accusations and Hamas supporting accusations. Canada was all good when they were sending weapons to Israel, but now they they've stopped, they're now antisemites? If Israel doesn't need Canada so much, why do they feel so threatened by Hamas that they have to blow up little kids? F**k Israel, I'm thoroughly disgusted with their arrogance and disregard of anyones' lives or needs but their own. And saying that doesn't make me an antisemite.

Gaza is more developed than the kibbutzim on the border. Has a higher literacy rate than the US , UK, Egypt, Israel or the West Bank . A cargo ship just made one of our bridges collapse today yet Israel dropped 2,000 pound bomb after bomb in hopes to penetrate tunnels but none have worked. These tunnels are stronger than our infrastructure and were clearly designed by smart engineers . For a full land, sir, and sea blockade and a country that gets obliterated to pieces every eight or ten years , that’s highly impressive . The Arabs and Israelis talk in surprise and envy about Palestinians . The settlers purposely take the water and olives , fig groves snd trees the poor rural Palestinians cultivate in the West Bank for no reason other than envy. You don’t take something food wise if you don’t trust the people or think they’re animalistic |

There were many awful things that happened on October 7. But also many of the most horrific stories are false. They were made up. And they were made up so that people would be on board for the total destruction of Gaza that Israel intended and has carried out. These stories of sadistic violence were so widespread in the days after Oct. 7 and people believed them right away. I am sure that many Americans who do not follow the news closely would believe that many of these stories are still true today. Why not, when the president and secretary of state repeated them. 40 beheaded babies - a lie babies hung on a clothesline - a lie baby baked in an oven - a lie unborn baby cut from their mother and killed - a lie teenage sisters raped at Kibbutz Be’eri - a lie family of four tortured at their kitchen table that Blinken told a senate hearing - a lie These stories weren't mistakes told when the facts were murky. The story of the teenage sisters is graphic, describing the girls underwear, their position, and semen smeared on their back when actual video footage shows them fully clothed when they were found. The fact that they were killed is awful and they didn't deserve that. But someone out there made up this horrific story about their rape, and made up all the horrific stories above, and that is atrocious. |

How many billions were spent on the Iron Dome? The tunnels were not made for any reasons originally other than to circumvent the Israeli blockade . .The mother of invention is necessity . Tunnels of this expertise take a decade to build. Israel, for whatever reason, sat back and did nothing . They knew the ditches were being built and tunnels were being built since 2007 . Some were already there from Israeli era Gaza and just were expanded. |

I think most people would choose the Israeli justice system toward Jewish citizens of Israel over the "justice" administered by Hamas, ISIS, the Taliban, Iran and other extremist Islamist regimes. fixed that for you. So, not an open air prison? But a glorious beachside paradise? I'm not sure I understand why residents were so gung ho about slaughtering Israelis and holding them captive, if doing so would put their beautiful home at risk so badly. No no, I know - 1948, 1967, something hateful about Zionists (spit). And I say this, while distressed - to put it mildly - about the Israeli course of action here. I believed from the start, unlike so many of you, that Israel has a right to defend itself. But it doesn't seem like that is what it's doing now. I don't believe this is a genocide, but I do believe that Netanyahu is pursuing what is increasingly an indefensible method of rooting out Hamas because he thinks it's the only way for him to hold on for dear life. He's willing to destroy Israel to try to save himself. But you people talking out both sides of your mouth about what life is = or was - like in Gaza does not help win you any converts. It makes you sound like you don't believe in anything other than wanting Israel to die. |

What do you mean, "who does that"? Only every other party in history. The stories and accusations of rape of the "white southern flowers" by the unwashed Negroes has been the battle cry of the white supremacists for decades. (When in reality, black women had way more reasons to fear rape by white men than vice versa). "They raped our women!" has been used to goad men into violence and tilt policy decisions in your favor many many many times. Same for dead babies. Tried and true. Remember the false testimony of Kuwaiti ambassador daughter to Congress? About Saddam's forces throwing babies out of incubators? Conceived and written up by Hill and Knowlton, people who shape perceptions for a living. |

The real, equally robust investigation, has to focus on who devised and deployed the mass of atrocity and rape propaganda. Because it was a conscious decision, have no doubt about it. The most charitable interpretation of Zaka's early reports is that they are a bunch of illiterate yahoos who have no coronary qualifications. But you know who has medical qualifications? Israel's chief forensic pathologist Dr Chen Kugel, who said he saw "burned, headless bodies of babies" with his own eyes. Is Dr Kugel, despite his credentials, unable to understand what he saw? I doubt it. So it must have been a deliberate, obvious lie by a high-level government official. If so, who else is on the game? |

| The initial mischaracterization can charitably be chalked up to the immediate confusion of the situation and a game of telephone. However the continued trumpeting and amplification of the bad information after the first few days was a craven deliberate lie. |
