Im redoing my kitchen and can’t get my preferred layout to work unless I use a 27 inch wall oven. This would be my main oven and in addition I’m planning on a combo convection/microwave oven. Does anyone have thoughts for or against getting a 27 inch oven instead of a typical 30 inch?
What are the interior dimensions, can you put a standard half sheet in?
My mom had a 27 double oven and ended up redoing the kitchen to get a 30 inch one. I would not recommend.
Will you be able to fit standard baking pans?
I would do a range instead. A sibling has a 27 inch in an NYC apartment. Would be a big drawback in a house.
I don't think it's a problem at all. I have a double 27 inch oven set. I know you are saying you will not have double... but I can fit two 9x13 pans on each rack. It fits my pizza pan. I don't know why it would be a problem at all.
I have a 27" wall oven. I also have a 950 square foot cottage, with a smaller galley kitchen. If I owned a larger house, I'd definitely get a 30". While I don't have any problems with pan size, I also don't use the oven that often. I could see it being a deal breaker for new buyers, especially since there would be no easy way to replace it with a larger size.
Thanks PPs. I was able to see a KitchenAid 27in one and it fits my biggest baking sheet which is a 2/3 size, about 21in across. Given this, I will proceed with a 27in since the other options are worse (mostly too far from stove). Thanks!
