This is a little trashy - Loudoun parents coordinating a middle school "Fight Club" held in basements of kids' homes. Kids were posting videos on Tik Tok and Instagram. Wonder what a parent would do if a kid got seriously hurt.
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/northern-virginia/middle-school-students-holding-fight-clubs-and-parents-are-aware-principal/3354896/ Lunsford MS is the part of Chantilly that's in Loudoun (South Riding area). |
Not supposed to talk about it. |
When teachers tell you it starts at home, this is what we mean. The principal *had to email parents* to tell them it’s not okay to have their young kids in fight clubs. Despicable. |
We should not be shocked at the major teacher exodus. My DC had a girl stand up and scream profanity at another girl-and would not stop when the teacher asked. The teacher was in the middle of her lesson. |
Honestly, this is where CPS SHOULD be called. If you think a child is having a fight club at home, you might want to report it.
I imagine these aren't poor children, FWIW. I know the area and it's all new builds and crazy expensive. If this was a poor area, this would be on the news. |
The parents who sanctioned these "clubs" are the same parents who are posting all over Next Door and Facebook, screeching about schools indoctrinating kids.

Obviously these are white parents allowing their kids to do this. Had they been Latino or Black, the parents faces wouldn’t have all over national media and they would have been arrested. |
what exactly do you think "NBC Washington" is |
Probably should have emailed herself back in the fall when she knew this was happening in her school. |
Anytime conservatives are railing against a straw man like “indoctrination” or similar, you can be sure it’s to mask some insidious stuff that they’re doing. |
I would invite you to listen to this podcast my 10 year old listened to by clicking a link provided by his teacher on his county issued Chromebook in his classroom digital bookshelf. At about 17:30 left in the podcast (counts down from 23 minutes) https://app.kidslisten.org/ep/But-Why-A-Podcast-for-Curious-Kids-How-Are-Babies-Made |
