See subject. Our refuses to. Do you think this is exempted under FOIA? |
Why do you care? If you want to celebrate your child, you can put stickers on your car and placards on your lawn.
FOIA is about the release of information, so not sure what you’re wanting to do. |
You are going to FOIA the honor roll? Why?
|
They also refuse to release class standings and grade averages. |
Does your kid know their class standing and GPA? Why are you entitled to anyone else’s? |
It’s MS. Why do you care? |
Does the school give grades? If so, you can calculate the gpa for your kid. |
Most kids are on honor roll now that they all get retakes, no late work, nothing below a 50, etc. |
Read the title of the thread. OP is asking just for the number of students, not who made the roll. This should clearly be public information. Also, if you can't contribute to the thread, don't post. |
This. Something like 3/4 of my kid's 8th grade class made the honor roll for all of MS. |
What school district? My kid is in APS, and I’ve never heard any reference to honor roll. If there is one they keep it quiet and don’t publicize it - my kid with an IEP wouldn’t be on it, as he’s never made all As. |
Because we don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. It is no longer about celebrating achievement but rather that everyone fails equally. |
My kid is in MS in APS and has been on honor roll every quarter. It’s all As and Bs. They get a certificate sent home, usually stays in their backpack lol. |
Most kids make honor roll |
And presumably public. Everyone knows it means nothing. |
