My child’s friend is moving away this summer and the family is having a good bye party at a park. I’m pretty sure there will be over 100 people.
Should I bring something? Dessert? Alcohol? Gatorade? Fruit? Should I take toys/entertainment? I know the park has nothing but picnic tables and a field. Friend considered having this party at their house but their house is a mess as they are packing and moving next month. We normally take alcohol or pick up a dessert when we go to someone’s home. I just feel if we bring something for 8-10 people and there are over a hundred people, it may not be enough. |
| I meant to post this in general parenting. |

A few bottles of wine and cups for the parents would be nice. You could also bring a ball or some board games.
What age? |
| Just a heads up that some of those public parks prohibit alcohol (and actively enforce the restriction). I think it would be really helpful to bring a side dish and to let your friend know what you'll be bringing. I imagine they're really busy with the move so taking care of one thing would probably be welcomed. |

Is there a playground?
Shade? I would ask them if they need you to bring anything. |
