Memorial day weekend ideas?

I didn't plan anything for this upcoming weekend, but I was hoping to go to a nearby Cidery or Brewery in Nelson co. that we enjoy and hanging at a nearby lake that has a "beach" and grilling out.

Sadly...it is looking like there will be a ton of rain! Boo! It's looking like perhaps driving up towards in PA would be okay but I just looked up prices to visit Hershey park or Dutch wonderland and yikes.....$200-300 for a family of 4 with little kids for 1 day!

I'm guessing the museums will be packed this weekend in DC.

Ideas for things to do to enjoy this upcoming weekend? We wanted to get out and about and need something fun to get us through the end of school.

Thanks!

It’s just a 3 day weekend. You don’t need to do anything you don’t normally do on the weekend. It’s just one extra day.

And that’s cheap for amusement parks.

Go to Lititz, take a $5 tour of the pretzel factory, buy some chocolate, feed some ducks in the town square, and and visit the tree house playground.

You can’t really beat a weekend trip for $200-400. Maybe you should go to a sprinkler park or free zoo locally.

Are you in MoCo? I don't think it's supposed to rain all weekend, just parts of it, do staycation stuff. Take your kids to the cafe Sophie at the Airpark and let them watch planes take off. Go visit brookside gardens. Try a new ice cream place. Drop some money at a bookstore.
