Official end of Covid and traffic.

Did everyone suddenly return to the office?

Traffic had not been that bad for me for the last year and even up to a few months ago it was manageable and predictable.

However, in the last couple of weeks it had gone back to 2019 bad.

Make me wish for another pandemic.

NEVER AGAIN. I don't care if it's the damn plague, I'm not complying with pandemic bs ever again.

Traffic has been back to normal for a long time. Today is the day before a holiday weekend so it’s worse than usual.

Where have you been? It’s not horrific but yes, we’re all back to normal. Grow up and deal. I’m glad for my two telework days a week. Makes life better.

Traffic going down CT Ave has been getting worse in recent weeks.

But remember: traffic is typically lighter in the summer, so hopefully things will get better (at least for a little while) soon.

I think it’s been better. Not going to name the road but it’s a main one in moco. Used to take 40/45 mins to get home. Now I can still do it in 25/30.

OP haven't you been reading all the WFH threads? There are people on here who absolutely believe that everyone should be in the office even if they have jobs that are perfectly fine WFH. They want everyone to be miserable, including you in traffic.

I must have missed these posts.

I have “reverse” commute. MoCo to Falls Church. I drive 4-5 days a week and it has gotten noticeably worse the last month.

The number of friends I have who can still WFH fulltime dwindles each month.

I and one other are the only two in our group who are fulltime WFH.

I commute every day and have since day 1 of covid… covid traffic was over by fall 2021. Sh*t had been bad for a while.

Is this because of all the beltway and GW parkway construction? My commute from DC to falls church hasn’t changed.

Capital One is moving to require that its workers spend more time at their physical offices. According to Capital One, company-wide guidance has been made to have teams work in-person on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting May 2.

I think this has affected traffic in Tysons

It’s so bad for humans and the environment to commute everyday. I will never understand the WFH hate.

Did you just venture out for the first time? I worked in person throughout the pandemic and traffic has been bad for at least a year now.
