How much does your vet charge to trim cat's nails?

Just curious. Do they usually cut front and back paws, or just front? How much does it typically cost to trim your cat's nails?

Both. $25

$28

I was just charged $34 for all four paws.

Not sure if it matters, but I asked if it could be done when we were already there for the annual checkup.
Anonymous
$15, all four paws.

Takoma Park Animal clinic charged me $40 for a nail trim at our annual visit. I think that’s way too much. I think they are overpriced in general.

Both front and back, for free during a visit. Which makes me super happy because he bites me if I try to trim at home.

40 plus which is way too much IMO.

Are these costs in addition to an annual visit fee?

35. This is in addition to the visit. I’m in California.

$28.

Totally worth it for one cat who is an absolute terror when you touch her paws. I cut the other cat's nails at home.

Seriously people, don't you have a scratch post for your cats? My family had two cats when I was a child. Both of them lived long lives and were ever taken to the vets to have their nails trimmed.

Don't like the fee? Then do it yourself...
Can't do it yourself? Then pay the price to someone who can and accept it...

How does your cat behave? My vet charges $25 but, she doesn't protest

Despite having grown up with 2 cats, you know remarkably little about cats and why people are having their nails trimmed. I thought it was obvious, but wow.
