The US voters voted and gave the republicans control of the House. Now the House under Republican control is moving to default on US obligations. If they go through with it, it will be bad. How bad who knows? It’s a lot of money and as such there will be incredible pressure from big donors on the House to get it done. Eventually, maybe in a few days or a week, the US would pay and make whole it’s debt holders. Though it would be chaos until it was done.
This is what the voters wanted when they voted for republican control of the House. You have let the chips fall where they may. If the voters do not like the results they can vote for different representation. If you make a deal there are not consequences for voting in radicals. Biden should not “rescue” the voters by doing a deal. Biden and other mainstream politicians seem more concerned about keeping the status quo(which is unworkable and broken) vs anything else. This is what the voters wanted. Let them deal with the consequences. |
Your terms are acceptable. |
| Agreed. As the executive he has some sway in how the bills get paid. Let the red states figure out how to deal without their checks first. |

The Republicans are the only ones who have proposed a debt limit increase to avoid default.
The ONLY ones. Biden and the Dems better get on the ball and determine if they really want the US to default. Ball is in their court. |
All the Dems have to do is throw all their domestic priorities out the window and the bills for past due appropriations can be paid! Sounds like a deal! Save your idiocy for the Fox News comment section. |
