Barry - Season 4. - jumped the shark?

Anonymous
Watching this but think it should have ended with season 3
Anyone else?

It’s pretty dark, I’ll give you that, but no, I don’t think it should have ended after last season. I’m enjoying this season, although it’s not bingeable.

Agreed I’m not enjoying this season at all.

I was enjoying it until the future started.

Heh it's funny to use the phrase jump the shark about a show starring Henry Winkler.

I don't think it has jumped the shark, in any case. It's a strange show that's always been strange, and continues being strange - and I am deeply uncomfortable about where Barry and Sally are right now but still interested in seeing what happens. I think the show is still try to itself.

It’s gotten too dark and weird for my husband and me…and that’s saying a lot. The last Episode with the choking in the bathroom: WTH??

There are some good parts: like Barry coming out of the darkness in Sally’s apt and saying “really” when she agrees to go with him. He’s a great actor. We’ll watch until the end but not sure we’ll really “enjoy” it.

Does anyone else remember Barry’s flashbacks of his childhood in the field with his Dad? His “future” looks just like it.

It's different but still highly watchable.

The whole jump to Sally and him with a 9/year old is too weird. I still enjoy parts of it, but man what a departure on how great Season 1 was.0

Loved the scene with the boxes. "Why am I still opening these?"

Season 3 got too dark for me/DH. We haven't decided if we want to do Season 4.

haha. yeah.

I find the surrealness of their new existence kind of disturbing and nightmarish.
I also find Hank has completely lost his humorous energy - I know it's because he is grieving Christobal, but I miss the performance of previous seasons.
And the plot seems to be jumping all over the place slightly.

What he said was funny, but his light hearted demeanor was definitely still missing.

His demeanor changed a lot when talking to the FUBAKs.
