Leads/Advice about Seeking Part-Time Child Care in NW DC or Bethesda area

Hi, I'm relocating to the DC area from California with my spouse and baby boy, currently 3 months old, this summer. We will arrive in July and require part-time child care (4 or 5 afternoons a week) by late-August/September. We are puzzling over how to best approach this search. We are uncertain of where in the area we will land but are most interested in neighborhoods in NW DC, including Cleveland Park, and Bethesda. If you have any suggestions for quality child care which might have part-time availability for a baby 6-7 months old in the area, I'd be eager to hear from you. Alternatively, any advice about identifying appropriate daycares? (I'm aware of CareLuLu, is that our best bet?) Should I just begin calling around and seeking spots on waitlists as the occasion arises? Or are we perhaps better off seeking a nanny share given our needs? I'd appreciate any input you can provide!
