I just received a big promotion and am celebrating by buying a “practical” (ha) pair of classic black pumps. I can’t pull off super high heels so I’ve narrowed it to either the Manolo BB 70 or the Aquazzura bow tie pump 85. Anyone had experience with either? My feet are wide-ish. Looking for something that will be comfortable to stand at a reception for a few hours

| My aqua urea shoes are one of the most uncomfortable pair I’ve ever worn. I wore them today for 3 hours mostly sitting at a lunch and they still killed my feet. The only pair I’ve had worse were a pair of Burberry shoes. So I’d go with Manolo but only i can’t imagine buying aquazurra again |
| I have experience with both. The Aquazzura pump is very uncomfortable. Blahnik all the way for a pair of workhorse pumps you can wear all day. Could you go a little higher on the BB though? It's a more comfortable shoe and I'm a little thrown you're looking at a much shorter heel for a better shoe but stretching height wise on a less trustworthy fit. |

https://www.whowhatwear.com/heels-for-wide-feet Congratulations on your promotion! I think that you should splurge on something else. I love shoes and have wide feet, too. Sadly, there’s no point in spending a ton of money on shoes that don’t work with your foot shape. The only pointy toe heels I can pull off are Sam Edelman Hazel in wide. |

Manolo or Loubs for all day wear.
DH just picked up 5 pair of Loubs for me. I will break them in around the house a couple of time for about 45min/ pair before wearing all day. |
| I think it really depends on your individual foot shape. I have both the Manolo BB and the Aquazzura Bow Ties but in a different heel height compared to what you are looking at (105 mm). I actually find my Aquazzuras are significantly more comfortable, which really surprised me. The positioning of the stilletto on the Manolo BB (towards the center of the heel vs. farther back towards the edge of the heel like on the Aquazzuras) tends to be more comfortable for most people. On me, however, the Manolos were too narrow and I found that the arch did not line up with my natural arch and just made for a very unpleasant experience. Also, the Manolos were very stiff and inflexible (although mine are a fabric outer rather than leather so that might be the part of it). I wouldn’t say the Aquazzuras are the MOST comfortable heel I’ve ever worn, but they aren’t terrible on me for that height and I prioritize width in the toe box over heel comfort. I know a lot of people who swear by Manolos for comfort, though. If you aren’t able to try them both on and compare for yourself then I think if you have wider feet Aquazzuras may be the way to go, but if you have a narrow/normal width and arch Manolos are probably on balance more comfortable. |
| I have wide feet and HATE my loubs— so much so that I just gave 3 pairs to my sister because I’m over them. Be careful! Manolos, Prada, Gucci, Schultz, Chloe have all worked well for me over the years |
