What to get 20 year old for birthday?

He’s moving into his own apartment at school so the mom in me says get him a vacuum but I’m pretty sure that is not the right occasion to be gifting him that. Anyone have good ideas that went over well? He likes racing cars and video games, but I won’t be able to stand fueling his video game addiction any longer.
