| My teenage daughter came out to us a few months ago and are 100% ok and supportive. However, I recognize that we, or our families, may say or do the wrong thing from ignorance, and I'd like to avoid that as much as possible. My company offers professional development funding for a DEI related course of our choosing, and I'd like to find an appropriate training for LGBTQ+ allyship. Google searches are only showing organizational or group training opportunities. Is anyone aware of a training opportunity for an individual? Thank you for your help! |
| Sounds like you need a therapist, perhaps? Lots of LGBTQ friendly therapists out there. |
| Maybe reach out to a local PFLAG group? |

Dye your hair purple or blue. Become quite large. Have plenty of visible tattoos and nose rings.
Good luck, you've become a Queer+ ally! So chuckled the amused gay man. |
Omg, lol. This is why comedians get in trouble. There’s always a grain - or much bigger - of truth. Signed, lesbian who is/has none of those above things. |
| NP. I’m interested in a similar ally ship training for school or workplace settings. |
| Definitely PFLAG meetings. |
