seniors? last day is on 5/23, is this the deadline for teachers to submit senior grades also?

Last day for seniors is next Tuesday 5/23, is this also the deadline for senior teachers to submit grades? Do any teachers on here know?

I would think not. State law requires students to have X number of school days. This whole thing sounds unofficial.

Last day for seniors at my kids MCPS high school is 5/26, not 5/23. Another poster said that was the universal last day for all seniors in MCPS?

5/26 is the last day for seniors.

I think teachers have until the official last day of school to log grades: June 16.

Our school told us the last day is 5/23 (it was originally 5/26 but it was changed recently). I thought this was for all high schools but maybe not?

^ seniors can still contact their teachers until June 16 anyway.

Other high schools are still on May 26. My son has a timed writing for AP Lit on the 26!

Tuesday, June 20th is marked as "End Of Quarter Grading/Planning"

Wow I had no idea, I thought it was all schools. Seems so weird and confusing! I guess our school just decided to cut it short!

Why is AP Lit giving an assignment on the last day. Usually all AP Lit students are seniors. And the AP exam is over and done with. Sounds like a hard ass teacher or your kid is making things up

Do students in AP classes still go to class? My son’s teachers had one class after the exam and that was it.

What do you mean they had one class? Like, the classes didn't meet at all??? Or like the teacher's don't actually teach anything? (I think the latter is common after AP exams, but the former seems crazy.)
