White, tan, of white. They are so boring. Better than green cabinets I guess, but it’s so sterile. Any one else feel this way?
The high end designers have been showing tons of color. Are you maybe looking at chain home stores? Beige, brown, and white sofas have dominated home stores for decades. They try to appeal to the masses, who tend to have a different interest in design. Neutrals have always been pretty safe and palatable.
I love my green cabinets.

Just change your media diet.
It does seem like clean gray has been replaced by yucky brown as the baseline neutral. This child of the '70s and '80s says no thank you. This too shall pass.
My walls are purple. You get to choose your own colors, OP. Who cares what everyone else is doing?
I love the warmer colors compared to the sterile feeling of gray and gray tones. It doesn’t have to be brown or beige but warmer neutrals can be quite pretty in the right setting and, to me at least, feel much cozier than stark gray
I'm buying but I much prefer a neutral beige wall to a blood red kitchen and dining room. I've seen several of those and it's an instant pass.
It’s great bc you accessorize with pops of color.
I love using color in decorating but we've done gray and now white on our walls the last few years because we are thinking about selling and I don't want to worry about having to cover it up. But I'm intentionally restraining myself -- if we were planning on staying, I'd be doing wallpaper and color on the walls. For now I content myself with color in fabrics and furniture.
