Touchless car wash in the DMV

Anonymous
Is there a genuine touchless car wash in the DMV? I have been to a few that advertise as touchless but they are fully automated brushes when you arrive. TIA

I think there are BRUSHless car washes. What’s the point of touch less?

Touchless Car Wash
A touchless car wash is a method of cleaning a car’s exterior without physically touching the car’s surface. In a touchless car wash, high-pressure water jets and detergents are used to remove dirt and grime from the car’s surface. The process is entirely automated, and the car owner does not need to drive the car through the wash bay. The high-pressure water jets and detergents do all the work.

Brushless Car Wash
A brushless car wash is a method of cleaning a car’s exterior using soft cloth or foam. In a brushless car wash, the car owner needs to drive the car through the wash bay. The soft cloth or foam is used to remove dirt and grime from the car’s surface.

Either way, if you are the owner of a certain brand of cars that isn't supposed to use car washes, just forget it around here. Also, ones without touch use harsher chemicals which can fade the black plastic exterior parts.

There are a few I’ve used before in Northern VA. #2 and #3 were several years ago so not sure if it’s changed.

1. Exxon at 13000 Fair Lakes Shopping Center, Fairfax, VA 22030
2. Sunoco at 5000 Westone Plz, Chantilly, VA 20151
3. Exxon at 22605 Glenn Dr, Sterling, VA 20164

FWIW I've never understood why floppy cloth is less harsh than high-powered water jets. But I don't have fancy cars and I go to Mr Wash like every week.

There’s one at the Exxon on NY Ave and Bladensburg Rd. It doesn’t work very well though.

Floppy cloth is not touchless. The high power jets are.

They all do a shite job. Get a bucket and a hose and your car will look 10x better and you’ll save $15. Grand
