A “team” for a rising 2nd girl

Hi, wondering any suggestions regarding a “team” environment for a rising 2nd grade girl in VA? She did participated in a few clinics ( MADLAX rippers) but we felt the enrollment was low, sometimes only 1-3 other girls showed up or at her similar level to practice with. We will continue to do some summer camps, but for fall, shall we join a team to play tournaments? What’re the best options do we have?

| Honestly it’s pretty early. I’d wait until rising 3rd or 4th and joint pride or stars and I’d choose solely based on which location is easier for you |

Check out the youth programs in your area. Generally each town (Vienna, Great Falls, etc.) have youth teams as young as K-2 playing against other town teams in Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League. Honestly, for a rising 2nd grader this is the best place to find a team environment. Below is a link to NVYLL page with links to the team websites.
