Do TJ admissions look at kids’ SOL test scores. If so, starting what grade?

Usually teachers and parents say SOLs are not important and counted towards their school grade. However, there is something about the SOL score. Looks like Students getting really high pass advance score are promoted to advance math. Even in evaluating AAP students post 3rd grade, seems like they check the SOL score.

Yeah definitely a ‘no’ on SOL scores or any standardized test. That’s the last thing they want.

Nope. I am a liaison counselor for an FCPS school and they don't even have access to them. Just grades.

It is hard to believe your kid can get in TJ with SOL under 200.

As long as they're in Algebra 1 in 8th, that's all that matters academically.
