Infertility Support and Discussion
|
We did a consult with Dr. Gordon and some intial testing last month. We have some more testing to do next month, and then we'll schedule a follow up appointment to talk through the results.
I know I'm getting ahead of myself here, but if we decide to go with Natural Cycle IVF after that, does anyone know if we can do it on the next cycle, or do we have to wait for some reason? |
| No need to wait - as long as you're available to go in for monitoring and the procedures during the first half of your cycle, you're good to go. |
| Agree with 09:22. Dominion is incredibly flexible. You don't even need to tell them in advance that you want to cycle. You can just call in on day 1, and then go in on Day 3 for a baseline monitoring. They will want you to pay in full for the natural cycle on Day 3 (or earlier). |
Thanks! What's the cost? Our insurance doesn't cover it, unfortunately. |
| We were quoted $4,400. |
| Yes -- $4400. However, if you need assisted hatching, it is another $500. They usually recommend assisted hatching based on your age. I *think* that if you are over 37, they do it. Not sure if that's the right age cut-off. |
| I agree with PP that said Dominion is incredibly flexible, my DH and I did a cycle last month and we had to decide on the timing (based on my cycle) at the last minute. We are in our 2ww now and luckily I'm busy with family visiting so I'm not tempted to do an HPT. |
| 18:16 -- Keep us posted on your outcome. I'm considering NC IVF so am looking for some success stories! |
| PP 18:16 I had a ++++++ HPT today, that has never happened in the 3 + years we have been trying, even 8 dpt with the HCG trigger shot, can it be for real??? I'm 9 dpt, anyone had a + that soon????? I'm goin nuts |
| Your HcG from the trigger shot should be out of your system by now. So looks like it's for real!!! Congratulations!!! So happy for you! |
|
Congratulations! I think embryo needs minimum 6 days to implant, so I think you are pregnant.
Can you tell more about yourself? How old are you? Why you went for a natural cycle IVF, i.e. what issues do you have? |
| Congratulations!! Yes, at 9 dpt (14 dpo), you should have an accurate result! |
| PP 17:09 I'm 37, DH is 43 with prior vasectomy and reversal so IVF w ICSI was needed and I preferred to go with natural cycle. thanks for all the advice regarding +HPT, I've done 3 more just to make sure I wasn't seeing things. |
| really great news 12:31. You give us hope! |
|
I am about to start my second cycle of natural IVF, so you definitely gave me hope. Have a healthy and happy pregnancy and smooth delivery!
Can you share your routine after the transfer - did you stay in bed and if yes, for how long? Did you avoid excercising, certain foods, etc.? Just any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |
