Flight seating

When searching for flights, it gives you a lower price to start with. Then when you select what you actually want, like nonstop flights, whether you want to choose the seating, etc. the price goes up. So I paid more to get to select my seats. When I clicked submit to book it, it said the seats were not confirmed and I needed to visit the airline website to complete the seat selection. So I go to the airline website, and for the most important flight where I have a connection and wanted seating closer to the front, they moved the seats back like 10 rows. I had paid an extra $140 to choose my seats on the other website, and now the airline wants me to pay another $57 to re-choose the same seats I already paid for that it shows on my receipt. How is this fair? If you choose a free seat like a middle seat so you can all sit together, it's almost as if you made no selection at all and they just move all of you to the back of the plane as if you didn't pay at all.

So you booked on a 3rd party site? You've got 24 hours to cancel. Cancel the tix and just book direct on the airline's site.

And stop whining. Do you really want the middle seat in the back by the toilets?

Why didn’t you book directly with the airline?

Do not ever book on a third party site. Zero good will come if this if something goes bad.

Or she booked with a codeshare/partner airline where one flight is with one airline and the connecting flight is with another. Like Delta/Air France for example.

I always book directly with the airline but I only book the included seats. I don’t pay extra to sit in an exit row or anything.

You better start researching baggage fees or you will be back on here complaining about that next!
