My pot holders are ancient and not thick enough. Please recommend ones you like? Are silicone ones any good?
Thanks! |
| Silicone mitts |
| The cotton loop loomed ones are all that I use. |
+1. I have big silicone mitts for taking something out of the oven or grilling or similar, and oval-shaped pads with silicone on one side and cotton pockets to slip your hands into on the outside for everyday cooking. The latter are very useful because they're so flexible. The ones I have are similar to these OXO ones: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0758QYX8F/ |
| I have some Cuisinart mitts that are fabric with silicone grips - they are excellent! |
The ove gloves are easier than silicon pot holders https://www.amazon.com/Ove-Glove-Resistant-Resistance-Household/dp/B000VS63DE/ref=asc_df_B000VS63DE/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167148207276&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7105209379469277588&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9008140&hvtargid=pla-274604541533&psc=1 |
| Just use a dish towel. Need to buy separate potholders. |
+1 This type is the best, in my opinion. |

i'll tell you what the absolute best and most study potholders I have are ones that my dd made on one of those little "potholder looms" 15 years ago. I like the small size, they wash well, great protection from heat. Do you have a kid who could make those for you? or just make yourself....

We have these potholders and love them:

| The Williams Sonoma square ones. And agree with loom potholders (made with cotton loops only). |
