| I used to work in Manila a lot and love the lumpia that’s made with mushrooms, eggs, and veggies. Is there anywhere I can find that in the DMV? So far all the Filipino and Asian places I’ve gone to only have the deep fried meaty version. |
| Kuya Ja’s in Rockville has veggie lumpia, but it is deep fried. Still delicious though! |
| You’re looking for what is called “fresh lumpia”, OP. I haven’t found a good one in this area, either. There are some recipes online if you google Lumpiang Sariwa or fresh lumpia. |
|
The PP is correct. It’s fresh lumpia or lumpiang sariwa. Just make your own. Even if you can find them, they don’t travel well so just make your own or eat it where u buy it.
Try Manila Mart in Beltsville, MD. |
| Kuya Ja's has it on their catering menu however KC Filipino in Rockville has it on their regular menu - they call it Lumpiang Sariwa. |
Thank you! And thanks all pps. I’m so excited to go there, and introduce my kids to it. |
| Costco has it |
Wait, what?? Where?? |
I want to know, too. I first had it at the Filipino restaurant that used to be in M St NW. |
|
I googled and Costco is only
The fried kind |
