Does anyone have any experience with or heard anything about baby sleep hammocks, like the Amby or Hushamok? Are they really effective in promoting infant sleep? I'm buying into the advertising hype but would like some real-world feedback. Or even just confirmation that other people are looking into these and I've not gone completely off the reservation in my baby-planning frenzy. Thanks! |
I think it depends on the baby. Two of my friends used the Amby baby hammock, and both their babies loved it. I borrowed the Amby from one of them, and our baby screamed every time we put her in it. Maybe look to borrow or buy a used one? They're made really well -- I wouldn't have safety concerns about going the used route on something like this. |
I read about those, too, but I am glad we didn't waste the money. We ended up with DD in our bed for over 6 months. Made breastfeeding MUCH easier and we all slept better. She has had no problems sleeping in her own bed (standard crib) since then and is close to 18 months. |
