Just wrapped-up Michael Chabon's Wonder Boys. Although significantly flawed, really loved his main character Grady Tripp!
The last pages were like saying goodbye to a close friend! Well, at least the book's been made into a movie. |
| The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly. I really cried, partly for the story itself and party for the fact I had finished it. |

Rise of Endymion, fourth/final in the Hyperion Cantos series by Dan Simmons. This book stayed with me for a loooong time.
Any of the small remaining Discworld books by Terry Pratchett that I am slowing reading now. I get anxiety the closer to the final book. Kings Rising, the third/final book in the Captive Prince series by CS Pacat. There is a short story called Summer Palace set after the events in KR, published separately as part of other Captive Prince shorts. It’s lovely and a balm. It would be great if it was part of KR, as an epilogue. Would have helped my heart; it was a while before I even learned of the short stories. To Say Nothing of the Dog, by Connie Willis. This was such a delight. |
